Harvested my first ever super hot pepper today! I have no clue how I’m going to use this with my wimpy spice tolerance but I’m so excited this Carolina Reaper fruited so beautifully!

Also just a heads up: no need to wear gloves while harvesting. Peppers do a nice job of keeping the spicy inside. Absolutely wear gloves when cutting, though.

I took my reapers and armageddons in to my work (restaurant) and the chef made a batch of sauce. He let it sit overnight then made wings—surprisingly flavorful and not OOT hot. We gave sauce samples to bar regulars and they all said the same—it’s better than our usual that’s made with dried ghosts.
